Surreal Elysium

The Meaning Behind the Piece

Scotty's Silent Agony

The battles no one else can see.

Scotty's Silent Agony represents the battles no one else can see.

Behind closed doors, insecurity distorts the reflection in the mirror. Alcohol and smoke become temporary escapes ways to silence the thoughts, numb the pain, and disappear from a reality that has become difficult to face.

But beneath the self-destruction, something remains.

A spark.

The part of Scotty that still wants more. The part that refuses to completely surrender to the darkness surrounding him.

The Story of Becoming

The Spark Remains

His agony may be silent.
But so is the strength beginning to grow within him.

With every step toward confronting what he once tried to escape,
hope slowly replaces the need to hide.

In the dark, where fears ignite,
alcohol and smoke take flight.

Mirrors show a skewed disguise,
body image, plagued by lies.

In these battles, there's a spark,
a strength within to leave the dark.

Courage blooms, and hope's embrace,
guides the way to a brighter place.

Even within our darkest reflection, there remains a part of us still searching for the light.
